Anybody want to actually have a rational discussion about the convention last night?

Published by aluglio at 8:39 pm under Presidential Race Edit This

So far I’ve just seen baseless attacks from people that disagree with anybody that does not support Palin and the other speakers - just look at the comments on the last post I made.

How do republicans actually believe that they tore apart liberals last night? Yes, a bunch of people that agree with each other used the most stereotypical, non-creative statements to attack the left, and now they’re all orgasming over how stupid the liberals must feel.

Really, at least back your points with something concrete and not just petty retorts. There’s no point in talking about politics if people are just stating their views back and forth and not trying to understand what the other side is saying.

Amen. The old, white men can pat themselves on the back all they want. I’m still not convinced that John McCain and Tina Fey will bring another four years of George Bush.

We hear alot about GOD at the Republican convention. America is generally considered a Christian nation and it defies all religious beliefs that a God that gave mankind the commandment “Thou shall not Kill” is constantly used as justification for humans killing humans (war). God is all powerful - he does not need humans to kill humans. If God wants someone dead, he would not send a human who he has forbade to kill another to do the job. When will the clergy and politicians “get it” about a kind and generous God?
Let’s change America by getting rid of politicians that use a kind and generous God as an excuse to violate the commandment “Thou shalt not kill”. McCain and Palin are dangerous.

This is the political network of America. If one would like to see how some liberals debate venture to Democrat Underground,. it is hardly just Republicans. I have felt the name calling from both sides as I support gay marriage and the end of Affirmative Action. In fact these two post above here offer no rational debate…I challenge people to put aside the faces and names and start talking about the issues.

Yes, this is Hell. Being uninvolved and not talking about it makes it slightly less hellish for me. It also makes me that much happier that there are people like you!
